Visiting Thanh Ha Pottery Village
Thanh Ha Pottery Village is located by Thu Bon river, Block 5, Thanh Ha ward, about 4 km westward of Hoi An center. This is one of the stops of tourists on their journey f-rom Hoi An ancient town to My Son- the World Heritages.
At Thanh Ha Pottery Village, you will visit a space of traditional occupational village preserved intact in cultural scenery such as: banyan tree, dock, communal house, religious monuments and directly enjoy clever, skillful hands of the potters producing high quality utensils. You will also find here folk but attractive gifts.
Quế Vegetable Village tourist attraction
Located about 2.5 kilometers from the center of Hội An to the north. This land was formed in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. It is famous for many vegetable products which have the taste of folk medicine and tasty flavor. Vegetables are planted by traditional intensive farming methods and fertilized by algae of Trà Quế lagoon. Therefore, green vegetables here have a unique and aromatic flavor.
Enjoy the rustic and peaceful nature picture of an immense vegetable area, and experience being a farmer to hoe the soil, fertilize by algae, and water by watering bucket. Besides, you can enjoy basil seed drink, make and enjoy your own rustic dishes made from Trà Quế green vegetables.
Kim Bong Carpentry Village
Kim Bong Carpentry Village belongs to the Cam Kim commune, just on the other side of Hoi An river. Take a boat trip on Thu Bon River to visit Thanh Ha & Kim Bong handicraft Villages. It is very convenient for tourists to visit and collect souvenirs. With the reputation of Kim Bong carpentry, there were many carpenters organized by the King of the Nguyen dynasty in order to build Hue capital. Among them were awarded the nine and eight grades of mandarin positions, chief wooden statue positions etc.
Formed in the 15 th century by Vietnameses f-rom the Northern Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces after they settled in Cam Kim- Hoi An. In the late 16 th and early 17 th centuries, Kim Bong carpentry developed vigorously and the occupational village was established with three groups: Ancient architectural construction, civil wooden furniture and shipbuilding.
