Than Tho Lake
Located at Ho Xuan Huong Street, ward 9, Dalat city, Lam Dong province. It is 5.8 km far from the city center. In the past, the lake used to be a swamp. In 1937, the French built a dam to retain water from Cam Ly stream then they made it a lake with an area of 8.5 ha and it provides water for the entire city of Da Lat.
Scenery around the lake so poetic, water surface is always calm calm pond. The lane along the lake as far away. Here seem to hear only the slight wind breeze, the sound of the voice like breathing, like sobbing. There is a pair of very loving trees in the north of the lake forming a pair of "lovers" tightly wrapped together tangerine leaves and visitors can go there to take souvenir photos. Tourist like to go here for enjoying the view and taking photo.
On 31 August, 1998, Than Tho Lake was recognized as a Cultural historical heritage.
