Pancake, central style – Banh xeo
(Bánh xèo)
The Da Lat version is still a yellow cake batter that is fried in the pan, but the size is much smaller while the crust is thicker and crispier. When you bite it, the cake will melt in your mouth. The greasy taste of banh xeo is neutralized by the freshness of vegetables so that it’s hard to stop eating more and more. If you are addicted to the wrap and roll cuisine of Vietnam, banh xeo is for you.
Banh Trang Nuong
(Bánh tráng nướng)
The tasteful mixture of pork, red peppers, and scallions are put in the heart of the rice cracker that makes its colors elegant. Then, a quail egg is cracked and additionally placed to the mixture. The whole set is put on the grill on the completion. In the time the rice cracker is roasted by the flames, the egg is cooked to make sure that “banh trang nuong” is healthy and delicious.
Can cake (Bánh Căn)
Can cake (Bánh Căn) is made of pure rice with the filling of spring onion. The inside of Can cake can be made from eggs, seafood or steamed green beans. Steamed cake will be displayed in pairs on the disk, which is used together with a little pork bologna, shumai and sauces. What makes it special is that the cake is cooked in small pots without oil. When the cake is well-cooked, it is inflate and crispy.
Can cake (Bánh Căn) is served in many different ways with fish sauce, meatballs and crackers on top. Sometimes, it is served with a special dipping sauce made from small fish.
Nem Nuong
(Grilled sausage: Nem Nướng)
Nem nướng is a fresh, roll-your-own spring roll. Fill thin sheets of rice paper with a various herbs (including perilla leaf, sweet basil, chives, mint), add the nem nướng (grilled pork patty), then some chả ram bắp (crispy, fried sweet corn and rice paper rolls), pickled radish, carrot, and shallots, and roll it all up before dipping it in a thick, peanut sauce.
Sauce include sweet rice, garlic, sugar, vinegar, peanut, Vietnamese tuong but each places has different ways to mix and made great sauce.
"Banh mi" dip with meatball soup
(Bánh mì xíu mại)
Bread with meatballs soup in Da Lat has its own heavenly taste. Meatballs are made of grinded pork mixed with cat ear mushroom, minced onion, garlic and some kinds of spices. After processing meatballs they boil them in broth with grinded tomato. That is the reason why you can feel greasy yet fresh taste meatballs soup without being closed. A portion of this dish includes a bowl of meatballs soup and a hot crispy bread.
Da Lat Tea
Tea growing and processing professions in Dalat were formed very early (from 1927) at the Cau Dat (Xuan Truong) at an altitude of 1,600m, because climate and soil conditions were suitable for tea development.
Main products were artichokes tea bags, soluble tea, powder tea; Ha Thu O herbal tea bags, Sweet Grass, Bitter Melon, Linh Chi, Noni, Seaweed, Heat of Lotus,... especially herbal tea, artichokes and coffee bags.

Coffee
Da Lat is famous for its coffee street feature. Da Lat coffee is simple just like the locals here. It is not as strong as Hanoi coffee and not as sweet and light as SaiGon coffee. Da Lat coffee has its own flavor with subtle fragrance and moderate bitter that can enchant people at first try. Almost people here drink coffee in the morning at small shop along streets and around Xuan Huong lake.
Hot soy milk
The reason for this popularity of soy milk may lie in Da Lat residents have their special way of drinking soy milk, they can mix soy milk with condensed milk, peanuts, green beans and eat some sweet cakes croissants, marzipan.. The chilly temperature of Dalat makes the taste of soy milk in this place so tasty, so hot and unforgettable.
By the skilled hands of the makers, soybeans are simmered over the fire with pandan leaves to create an exotic flavor. In Dalat night, visitors can drink soy milk anytime, anywhere but particularly in the evening.
