Cham Islands (Cù lao Chàm) consists of 8 small islets altogether: The Lao (pear), Dai (long), La (leave), Kho Con (small dry), Kho Me (large dry), Tai (ear), Mo (tomb) and Nom (east wind) islands. Cham Islands has fishing villages and poetic beaches, stone and coral reefs, hundreds of millions species of tropical seafood. Also well-known for its abundant land flora and fauna, the Cham Islands are famous for being home to the precious Yen swallow.
Tourists will enjoy many of the beautiful and scenic highlights of these islets, including: the Au Thuyen Docks, Hai Tang Pagoda; hiking in the high hills, and enjoy local cuisine such as Land crab, and limpets and shellfish.
In May 2009, Cham Island was listed as the Global Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
